Ted Dame  87, of Calhoun, Kentucky died Friday, June 17, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Therion Ellis Dame was born April 28, 1929 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Necil Oswald and Nettie Verna Austin Dame, was married to the former Beatrice Stratton on November 6, 1953, and was better known as “Ted” to both his family and friends.  Ted was a farmer, a retired rural letter carrier, a member of Calhoun United Methodist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was a University of Kentucky Basketball Fan, a member of McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415, a member of the American Legion, a member of Vienna Lodge # 423 F. & A.M., and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.  In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by a step son, Ralph Pinkston and by a granddaughter, Erica Humphrey.

          Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bea Dame; a son, Jerry Dame (Pat Smith) of Owensboro; two daughters, Susie St. Clair (Tony) and Vickie Vollman (Mike) both of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Heath Dame (Jessica), Kristan Vollman (Richard Higgs), and Clint Pinkston (Stacy); and 6 great grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Calhoun United Methodist Church with the Revs. Harry Wilson, Tony St.Clair, and Ken Berggren officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County V.F.W. Memorial Post #5415.  Friends may visit with Ted’s family from 12:00 P.M. (noon) until 6:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.

          The Ted Dame family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Calhoun United Methodist Church; P.O. Box 65; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
