Mary E. Stratton

Mary E. Stratton  80, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun.  Mary Elizabeth Wright was born May 23, 1936 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Robert Paul and Gracie Johnson Wright and was married to Walter Raymond Stratton in December of 1971.  Mary was a homemaker and member of Calhoun Baptist Church.  She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with both her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stratton, who died September 11, 1989.

          Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Vonda and Loyd Donahoo and Vicky and Jimmy Hill both of Calhoun; two sons and their wives, Tim and Lauri Stratton and Terry and Debra Stratton both of Calhoun; five grandchildren, Evan Cartwright, Jeff Fulkerson, Colton Stratton, T.J. Stratton, and Tarah Latham; several great grandchildren; and a brother, Pete Wright of Livermore.

          Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams and the Rev. Tony St.Clair officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in Mclean County.  Friends may visit with Mary’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Mary E. Stratton family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Calhoun Cemetery, Beautification Fund; C/O John Howard; 400 Guy Settle Loop; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
