Stella Smith

Stella Smith  95, of Glenville, Kentucky died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Carmel Home in Owensboro.  Stella Mae Crabtree was born February 16, 1920 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Robert and Sarah Hill Crabtree and was married to Robert Lewis Smith on March 20, 1946.  She was a homemaker, member of Glenville Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and sang in the church choir, and a member of the Glenville Homemakers.  In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert L. Smith, who died February 15, 2009.

          Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Judy and Robert Kelley of Utica; two grandsons and their wives, Brad and Cassie Brown of Calhoun and Ryan and Sarah Brown of Livermore; and a great grandson, Eli Brown.

          Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Rev. Charles Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Stella’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Stella Smith family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the David Mackey Memorial Scholarship at McLean County High School; C/O Judy Kelley; 2300 Kentucky 140 West; Utica, Kentucky  42376.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
