Winfred 'Wimpy' Davis

Winfred “Wimpy” Davis  74, of Livermore, Kentucky died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his home in Livermore.  Winfred Delbert Davis was born August 19, 1940 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late George Robert and Bertha Ann Richardson Davis, was married to the former Sherry Lynn Wahl on August 19, 2005, and was better known as “Wimpy” to both his family and friends.  Wimpy was a 50 years member of the Millwright Local, a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, and a member of the N.R.A.  He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping.  In addition to his parents, Wimpy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Journey Davis; and by a brother and six sisters.

          Survivors his lifelong partner of 36 years and wife, Sherry Davis; a son, Daniel Davis and fiancée, Heather Hope of Utica; a step son, Brian Byrne of Owensboro; a step daughter, Cary Byrne of Owensboro; a step grandson, Brandon Byrne and wife, Erica of Central City; a brother, John Davis of Bloomington, Indiana; two sisters, Joyce Willis and husband, Glenn and Nadine Baldwin both of Livermore; and his 3 little cat buddies at home.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with James and Becky Case officiating.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Wimpy’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
