You may not remember me. I graduated with Matt right after high school after moving to Jacksonville. This comes as such a deep and painful shock. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with you.

I also played World of Warcraft with Matthew. Eightfold had the best personality and he was always so welcoming. I will never forget his sense of humor and more importantly his laugh. I will never forget the night I sat and listened to him and two of our other friends for 2 hours just talking and laughing. It's one of my favorite memories with him and his circle of friends.

I never knew Matthew outside of WoW. He was always "Abanos" to me. He was such a great guy with an uplfting personality. He always made you laugh. He brought together a bunch of silly gamers and made them into a family. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace.

While I never met Mathew (Abanos to me) in person. I still consider him to be a dear friend and his passing will leave a void in many people's lives online as well as in the real world. Sleep tight our little gnome king. I hope you find epic loots in the next life my friend.

I, same as others before me, knew Matthew as Eightfold. I didn't have the pleasure of saying I knew him very long, but I can say that it was truly an honor. He was very personable and always very joyful. My prayers go out to the family that they may find peace. Matthew 5:4 God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

I like Ryan, Neil, Adam, and Emily knew Mathew as Eight. I may not have known Eight for very long but the time i spent with him was some of the best times I've had playing games. He always knew what to say and when to say something when things where not going the way we wanted them to and he could always but a smile on your face. My condolences to his family he will be missed greatly.

I only knew Matthew for a little over a year and i knew him as Eight or Gnomelife. Matthew pulled me into a community of friends where we would joke, laugh, and have a good time. I will never forget and will always be greatful that he invited me to this community. I and everyone in this community will never forget the good times we had with Matthew and are heart broken he is gone. WE ALL wish his family the best and know Matthew will always be in are hearts and we are greatful to have known him.

Much like Adam, Matt and Ryan, I knew Eight from the game. He was always quick with a joke, an ear or a story to tell to cheer everyone up. I'll remember the voices and the noises and the light that he brought to everything. He was a truly wonderful person and he will be missed greatly. Matthew, or as I had known him as Eightfold online through gaming, was one of the most kind, passionate, supportive, and humorous individuals I have had the pleasure of getting to know. There wasn't a day that went by that I wasn't looking forward to talking to Matthew. I can genuinely say that he brought happiness to my life in times when I needed it most, and I will be forever grateful to the kindness he showed to me. My prayers go out to his friends and family, and I know that Heaven gained an angel.

Thank you for the kind words Ryan. There wasn't a day that I didn't look forward to talking with him too. I tried not to be a nuisance, but people like Matthews are too few to find, so it was difficult not to want some of his time and attention. Many of you know exactly what I'm talking about. And I'm so glad to know that.

Much like Ryan, I too knew Matt from our gaming community. He was a wonderful person who taught me a lot. He is a friend I will cherish forever. He was one of the few people in my life that I could call a great friend, and an even greater teacher. His kindness and charm never went unnoticed. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I was blessed to have met Matt and he still lived on in each of our memories: Immortal.

To the St Clair family. Sorry to hear about your loss. At Ecclesiastes 9:11,12 , it states,"I have seen something further under the sun,...because time and unexpected events overtake them all. For man does not know his time....when it suddenly overtakes them." At John 11:25, Jesus said ..."I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." May these scriptures give you hope and comfort as they did our family.

I am so so sorry. When I heard about Matthew, it felt like someone punched me in the stomach so I can't even imagine how you feel. I still can't believe it. It seems like yesterday that Liz was driving him to McDonald's to get chicken nuggets because that's all he would eat. I can still hear him singing "There's a Tear in my Beer" when he was little. I have been thinking and praying for you every single day. I love you and your family so much!
