Unfortunately, we have cancelled delivery of the O'boro newspaper and, accordingly, just learned of Jean's death yesterday. I regret not being aware of his passing, and the associated visitation. I'd known Jean from my earliest memory as he'd worked with my family for over 30 years. A great story-teller and faithful friend, Jean was always a favorite! Please accept our sincere regrets and condolences, and know that we have lost a long-time and trusted friend. He will remain fondly in our memories! The Depps

We are so sorry to hear of Jean's death. He and Polly were our first neighbors after Phillip and I married and we loved them and all their stories of times before us. What a long life lived well. I am so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing and also so sorry I will not be able to make to the visitation to the funeral home. But want to let you know that your family is in my thought and prayers. He was a great guy and we were real lucky to have him as a neighbor for so many years.

My Condolences to the family. Although I was a little boy when Jean came home from the war, I remember the many times he stopped to talk to my dad, Wendell Davis, at the Chevrolet shop in Calhoun. I don't remember the stories he told, but, he and my dad laughed a lot when talking.
