Dick and Family, I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Betty. She was such a sweet lady. She was my Sunday School teacher for many years and how wonderful she was with us! I also had the pleasure of having her as a piano teacher! I remember when I was little and my parents would take me trick or treating on Halloween we had to leave early and hit Ms Betty's house first because she had the best popcorn balls! I was stunned and deeply saddened to read of Mrs. Barbers passing. She was 4th thru 6th grade teacher at Livermore Elementary School. I loved being in her classroom and thought soooo much of her. Lucky for me, she attended the Island Methodist Church while I was growing up into my early adulthood, while I attended the Livermore Methodist Church. Our paths crossed often, and each and every time was as if I still felt like the little boy in her classroom. I loved and appreciated her very much. I will never forget her presence in my life. My heart just broke when I heard about the loss of Betty,
She was such a sweet lady, I remember growing up and having her as my music teacher @ bible school. She had such a beautiful singing voice..
I remember the first song she taught me to sing. "Every time I feel the spirit".. I wrote the title of that song in a bible.. till this day I still have that bible.. every time I see what I wrote I can hear Betty singing that song.. She'll be dearly & sadly missed by many..
