Darrell Horton 73, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home in Livermore. Darrell Horton was born May 31, 1944 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late James Bedford and Vivian Chancellor Horton and was married to the former Patricia Ann King May 1, 1964. Darrell was a retired law enforcement officer, working at Audubon Park and McLean County Sheriff’s Department, was a truck driver for 17 years, and also was a family service assistant and licensed E.M.T. at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Darrell was a member of the Baptist Faith and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a proud member of the N.R.A., a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Pat Horton; a son, James Darrin Horton of Alexandria, Louisiana; a daughter, Nancy Lynn Hancock of Livermore; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Baize officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Darrell’s family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Musters in Livermore.
