Bully Conrad

Bully Conrad  88, of Beech Grove, Kentucky died Friday, July 15, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Thomas Alex Conrad was born February 11, 1928 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Walter and Mina Golden Hale Conrad, was married to the former Lois Earl Jennings on December 24, 1949, and was better known as “Bully” to both his family and friends.  Bully retired from the State Highway Department in Calhoun and was a member of Beulah General Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sharing stories with everyone he came in contact with.  In addition to his parents, Bully was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Denise Conrad; a granddaughter, Tina Marie Woosley; and by a grandson, Ronald Huckleberry, Jr.

          Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lois Conrad; two sons, Tommy Conrad and wife, Beth and Brett Conrad and wife, Crystal both of Beech Grove; three daughters, Melinda Huckleberry and husband, Ronald of Island, Nona Cobb and husband, Cammie, and Darlene Woosley and husband, Mike both of Calhoun; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and four sisters, Eva Revlett of Bremen, Gertrude Potts of Owensboro, Dorothy Hill of Livermore, and Wanda Conrad of North Carolina.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Ron Hampton officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Bully’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Bully Conrad family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Beulah General Baptist Church, Building Fund; C/O Sandy Baird; 600 Mystery House Lane; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
