Dear Shirley and Fran:
Our deepest heartfelt condolences at the loss of your mother. We share in your loss as she was our Aunt. Our father always spoke very fondly and lovingly about your mother. I believe Walt only met her once when we were real little, in the late 1960's. Bill saw her at Elizabeth's funeral. Walt enjoyed many phone calls with your mother a few years back.

Walt and Bill, I'm sure being the youngest, Mom and Uncle Billy were close. He visited many times, the last time was when he was in Texas, painting Air Force 1. Exciting!! We will miss her as you miss your Mom. I'm sorry we didn't know. Don't forget us.

Sorry I was unable to talk to you in person. I just spoke to your mother a week or so ago at Riverside. Your mother was a good room mate to my mother, Etta Willis. She was a very sweet person and I enjoyed talking with her. I know you will miss her very much. I;'ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Ms. Lucille was a beautiful, sweet lady, and my mom's cherished friend. They are now rejoicing together in their heavenly home. But it hurts, and is so sad, to lose our moms; thoughts and prayers will be with you in the days ahead......

Shirley and family, so sorry to hear of your loss, I remember my Mom telling me about the trip your parents and mine made to Colorado long ago. Think they had a good time and both had good lives.

My condolences go out to your family. As you prepare to lay your loved one to rest, may you find comfort from your Bible at Psalms 34:18. “ HE” is close to the brokenhearted and crushed in spirit." This verse has helped me when dealing with the loss of loves ones. You can find similar verses in the website www.jw.org

I have many fond memories of spending the night at your house. We had a very happy childhood growing up in McLean Co.

Shirley and other family members, I enjoyed my visits with your mother during my pastorate at Beech Grove UMC. She was a special lady who mothered special children. I am so sorry that I can not be there for you on Sunday. Karrie and I will be visiting my mother and dad's graves in Tennessee this weekend. I will have you in my prayers. Losing your mother is perhaps the most difficult task in life, but knowing that she is with her Savior is a wonderful comfort. May God Bless You.
