Wanda G. (Barrett) Phelps

Wanda G. Phelps  75, of Centertown, Kentucky died Monday, October 3, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Livermore.  Wanda G. Barrett was born October 16, 1940 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Claudis Worth and Ruby Ann Williams Barrett and was married to Bobby Ray Phelps.  Wanda retired from the Ohio County Board of Education and was a member of Waltons Creek Baptist Church in Centertown.  She was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball Fan and also enjoyed line dancing and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter.  In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Phelps, who died April 15, 1986 and by a daughter, Sherri Ann Phelps.

          Survivors include a daughter, Nikki Sweeney and husband, Brent of Livermore; two granddaughters, Lauren Stinnett and husband, Evan of Utica and Kaylee Coates of Livermore; a great granddaughter, Amelia Grace Stinnett; a brother, Jr. Barrett of Centertown; five sisters, Evelyn Woolen of Olaton, Judy Barrett, Connie McConnell both of Hartford, Patty McGuffin of Beaver Dam, and Edna Garner of Centertown; several nieces and nephews.

          Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Waltons Creek Baptist Church in Centertown.  Burial will be in the Waltons Creek Cemetery.  Friends may visit with Wanda’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Waltons Creek Baptist Church.  Muster Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements for Wanda’s family.
