Thurman H. Turner

Thurman H. Turner  79, of 313 Dieterle Drive South; Owensboro, Kentucky died Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Thurman H. Turner was born November 2, 1935 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Otis and Hazel Anderson Turner and was married to the former Lois Mae Turner on August 31, 1974.  Thurman retired from Whirlpool of Evansville and earlier worked at Murphy – Miller of Owensboro.  He was a member of the Livermore Missionary Baptist Church and an avid University of Kentucky Basketball Fan.  In addition to his parents, Thurman was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Tucker; a daughter, Theresa Jo Turner; a grandson, Shaun Peterson; a great grandson, Blaine Jewell; a brother, Otis Turner; and a sister, Ilene Lyons.

          Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lois Turner; two sons, Ricky Turner and wife, Melanie of Owensboro and Donnie Tucker and wife, Debbie of Indianapolis; four daughters, Kathy Jewell and husband, Charlie, Sandy Roach and husband, Jeff, Karen Turner, and Penny Turner all of Owensboro; 29 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and a brother, Bobby Turner of Louisville.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.  Friends may visit with Thurman’s family from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Monday at Musters in Livermore.
