Shawn K. Guenther

Shawn K. Guenther  45, of 9946 Kentucky 140; Calhoun, Kentucky died Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Shawn Keith Guenther was born September 30, 1969 in Sturgis, Kentucky and was married to the former Shawn Marie Bolton in February of 1999.  Shawn was employed with Carpenters Union Local # 224 of Evansville and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.   

          Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Shawn Guenther; two sons, Justin McClure and wife, Shrina of Calhoun and Nathan Lindsey of Calhoun; a daughter, Candace Yates of Henderson; several grandchildren; his mother, Linda Dockemeyer and husband, Wayne of Owensboro; his father, Pat Guenther and wife, Brenda of Buck Creek; two brothers, Kenny Guenther of Beech Grove and Leslie Guenther of Owensboro; a sister, Suzanne Ruby of Maceo; and three step brothers, Wesley Dockemeyer, Chris Kassinger both of Owensboro, and Michael Kassinger of Buck Creek.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Webb officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415.  Friends may visit with Shawn’s family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Musters in Calhoun.
