Hazel L. Troutman

Hazel L. Troutman 93, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Hermitage Care & Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro.  Hazel Louise Fulkerson was born July 10, 1921 in McLean County to the late Ayer Holman & Mary Edna Ratliff Fulkerson and was married to Joseph Perry Troutman on January 29, 1947.  Hazel was a supervisor for GE and Ken-Rad in Owensboro.  She was a life-long member and church secretary for 38 years at Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, and traveling.  In addition to her parents Hazel was preceded in death by her brothers: Franklin Fulkerson, Earl Fulkerson, and Prentice Fulkerson.

          Survivors include her husband of 68 years J. P. Troutman; a son Steve Troutman of Owensboro; a sister Emma Nora Fulkerson of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church with Revs. Ron Hampton and Tracy Burnett officiating.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery.  Friends may visit with Hazel’s family from 10:00 A.M. until services Saturday at the Church.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling arrangements for the family.

          The Hazel L. Troutman family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Pleasant Hope Cemetery Fund C/O Barbara Howard; 737 Highway 136 West; Calhoun, KY 42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the Church.

          The family wanted to express their sincere appreciation to all of staff at the Hermitage for the personalized care and love shown to Hazel and family during this time.
