Chester A. McKenzie

Chester A. "Chief" McKenzie 88, of 6260 Kentucky 256; Calhoun, Kentucky died Friday, May 3, 2013 at his home. Chester was born August 2, 1924 in Okeechobee County, Florida to the late James A. & Fern A. Rich McKenzie, was married to the former Lula Ann James who preceded him in death on July 5, 1997, and was an Army Veteran of WW II. Chester was a Christian, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Vienna Lodge #423 F.& A.M. and retired as an Electrician from I.B.E. W. #1701. He enjoyed eating at Cracker Barrel, making homemade wine, and working around the house.

Survivors include two daughters: Sadye Austin and Sarah Jane McKenzie both of Calhoun. 5 grandchildren: Sheryl & Scott Hahn, Rod & Candy Austin, Don & Candace Austin, Debra & Glenn Simpson, and Angela Austin; 7 great grandchildren; Sam Hahn, Robert Hahn, Seth Hahn, Brainna & Michael Drake, Garrett Hudson, Allison Austin, and Elijah Ray Austin. 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Jimmy O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County with military honors presented by the McLean County V.F.W. Memorial Post 5415. Friends may visit with Chester's Family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at Musters in Calhoun. A. Masonic Service will be at 6:00 P.M. Sunday conducted by Vienna Lodge #432 F. & A.M.

The Chester McKenzie Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Vienna Lodge #432; C/O Henry Cissna; P. O. Box 1; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
