Brooks Vandiver

Brooks Vandiver  92, of Livermore, Kentucky died Monday, November 23, 2015 at his home.  Larry Brooks Vandiver was born May 5, 1923 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Owen and Eura Dwyer Vandiver and was married to the former Evelyn James on March 2, 1946.  Brooks was a farmer and member of Livermore United Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, Brooks was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Vandiver, who died September 7, 2008; a son-in-law, Ken Vertrees; and a sister, Wilma Vandiver.

          Survivors include two daughters, Frances Everly and husband, Jerry of Livermore and Jennifer Vandiver-Vertrees of Owensboro; a son, Larry Vandiver and wife, Leah of Livermore; five grandchildren, Katie Gunterman and husband, Kevin, Lindsey Vandiver, Chelsea Vandiver, Clayton Vertrees and wife, Tamsyn, and Jared Vertrees; and a great grandson, Keegan Gunterman.

          Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Vertrees officiating.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.  Friends may visit with Brooks’ family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Musters in Livermore.

          The Brooks Vandiver family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Baptist Health Hospice, Patient Care; 418 Scott Street; Madisonville, Kentucky  42431.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
