Becky Baird

Becky Baird  75, of Calhoun, Kentucky died Friday, July 3, 2015.  Rebecca Ann Bell was born November 20, 1939 in Hancock County, Kentucky to the late William C. and Mary E. Moog Bell and was married to Wilford Dean Baird on March 4, 1961.  She was a graduate of Lewisport High School, received her R.N. from Murray State College and Owensboro Daviess County Hospital, received her B.S.N. from the University of Evansville; and received her Master of Science in Industrial Education from Murray State University.  Becky retired as Director of Nursing at Owensboro Vocational Technical School and was a member of Beulah General Baptist Church.  She loved spending time with her two grandsons, following them in all of their activities, and also enjoyed going to yard sales, auctions, and traveling.  In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Wilford D. Baird, who died March 21, 1993 and by her brother, John Cole Bell, who died April 28, 1976.

          Survivors include a son and his wife, Kelly and Lisa Baird of Calhoun; and two grandsons, John Morgan Baird and Thomas Dean Baird both of Calhoun. 

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Ron Hampton officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Becky’s family from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
