Sue Broadley 77, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at her home in Calhoun. Anita Sue Case was born December 28, 1939 in Island, Kentucky to the late Haskell and Flora Ann Ford Case and was married to Robert Henry Broadley June 14, 1958. Sue was a homemaker and had an unwavering faith in God. In earlier years, she worked on the family farm with her husband, Robert H. Broadley. Sue loved attending church revivals, singings, and regular weekly church gatherings. She had an eye for sewing and another eye to spot the best sweets for dessert. Sue cherished spending time with all of her family. In addition to her parents, on Thursday she was reunited on the other side of Jordan with her husband of 47 years, Robert H. Broadley; five brothers, Howard Wilkerson, Ray “Sluggo” Case, Calvin Case, J.W. Case, and Bill Case; four sisters, Lillie Neal, Retha Neal, Margie Wilson, and Ora Mae Ashton; and by an adopted great granddaughter, Evie Hoover.
Survivors include a son, Anthony L. Broadley (Tina) of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Venessa Woods of Calhoun; six grandchildren, Benji Woods (Jaime) of Utica, Amanda Woods of Calhoun, Alana Ipock (Josh) of Madisonville, Jacob Broadley (Lindsey) of Louisville, Destiny Broadley of Calhoun, and David Broadley of Dayton; five great grandchildren, Cassidy Woods, Jase Woods, Landon Ipock, London Ipock, and Suzy Q. Broadley; and a sister, Martine Hibbs of Greenville.
A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Community Church in Calhoun with the Revs. Steve McElvain, Van Ashton and Jacob Broadley officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Sue’s family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. A video tribute of Sue’s life will be presented at 6:30 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
