William Pickup

     William Pickup  86, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  William Richard Pickup was born September 16, 1939 in Jamestown, New York to the late Kenneth B. and Leona Anderson Pickup, was married to the former Augusta June Nall on August 18, 1972 and was known as ‘Bill’ or ‘Truck’ to both his family and friends.

     Bill started working in sales at the former Bachman Implement Company and then installed and sold flooring at the former Brenner’s Carpets both in Calhoun.  He then was a salesman at Sherwin-Williams in Owensboro, later worked in construction sales for Schrecker Supply in Owensboro and later managed the local concrete block company in Owensboro.

     Bill enjoyed working on cars and loved animals, especially his cats.

     In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Pickup and Matthew Pickup and a daughter, Tara Pickup Bratcher.

     Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, June Pickup; a son, Steve Austin (Jeab) of Owensboro; a daughter, Kathi Yeiser of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Aimee Perez, Lauren Grayson (Justin), Nikki Cooper, Stormie Bray, Travis Willis, and Aric Trimble; and two sisters, Phyllis Williams of Lexington and Sylvia Burgin of Austin, Texas.

     Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Bill’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.
