Wendell Earl Corum 72, of Sacramento, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026 at his home near Sacramento. Wendell Earl Corum was born August 4, 1953 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Thomas Lindy and Dorothy Lee Jennings Corum.
Wendell earlier was a coal miner, retired as a respiratory therapist, and flew airplanes for his father. He was also a blacksmith and enjoyed woodworking. Wendell also enjoyed the bonds he built with Nick Evans, Nathaniel Evans, Bruce Galloway, Jerry Baggett, John Like, Mickey Scott, and Gary Wayne Kessinger.
Wendell is survived by two sons, Brian Corum and Chris Corum both of Pikeville; a daughter, Jessica McNealy of Greeneville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Darlene Hackney of Florida.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Wendell’s family.
