Tony Ray Free, 65, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at his home in Livermore. Tony Ray Free was born December 1, 1956, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late James Ray “Hammer” and Nelda Faye Holder Free. For many years, Tony found joy in serving as an athletic coach and mentor for the youth of McLean County. He enjoyed few things more than fishing, NASCAR, caring for his dog (Pete), and spending time with both his family and friends. Loved ones remember Tony as an excellent cook and an avid reader of Westerns. His kids say he was stubborn as all get out and could be called on to repair (almost) anything. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Free.
Survived include his five children, Jonathon Free (Crystal) of Cary, North Carolina, David Free (Elizabeth George) of Burns, Tennessee, Amanda Free (Brian Russell) of Louisville, Anthony Free of Lexington, and William Free of Louisville; two grandsons, Judah Free and Elijah Free; his sister, Deborah Howell of North Carolina; his former spouse and the mother of his children, Teresa Clark-Free of Louisville; and a multitude of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Tab Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with Tony’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
