Susie Greer Jackson 60, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Carolyn Sue Greer was born March 21, 1957 in Daviess County, Kentucky to Alfred and Jeanette Woodward Greer, was married to James Robert Jackson September 3, 1983 and was better known as “Susie” to both her family and friends. Susie worked for 17 years at Century Aluminum in Hawesville and was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed flea markets, being on the lake and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her granddaughter. Susie was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Greer; two brothers, Alfred Stephen Greer and Terry Allen Greer; and by a brother-in-law, Randall Ling.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Jackson; a son, Cale Stephen Jackson of Texas; a granddaughter, Za’Niyah Jackson of Owensboro; her mother, Jeanette Greer of Eddyville; a brother, Jerry Greer (Liz) of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Wanda Bush (Chuck) and Connie Ling both of Eddyville; a brother-in-law, William Jackson (Juanita) of Utica; two sisters-in-law, Vicky Jackson and Lisa Embry both of Utica; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Red Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Boyken officiating. Friends may visit with Susie’s family from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Susie’s family.
The Susie Greer Jackson family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Red Hill Baptist Church; 10060 Red Hill – Maxwell Road; Utica, Kentucky 42376. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the church and at Musters in Calhoun.
