Sue Anne Humphrey 87, of Leitchfield, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at Somerfield Health Care in Brentwood, Tennessee. Sue Anne Thomas was born November 4, 1937 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Hubert Small and Martha Louise Watson Thomas and was married to Hubert Gene Humphrey on October 7, 1956.
Sue Anne was a homemaker and a member of Leitchfield United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, she was a devoted member of the Methodist church in every town that she lived in. Sue Anne loved taking her grandkids to the zoo and was lovingly referred to as ‘Mom-mom’ by each of them. She enjoyed both caring for her flowers and watching the birds.
In addition to her parents, Sue Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hubert Humphrey, who died June 14, 2018.
Sue Anne is survived by four sons, Tom Humphrey (Angela) of Lafayette, Indiana, Scott Humphrey (Audri) of Westerville, Ohio, Bo Humphrey (Rachelle) of Danville, Indiana, and John Humphrey (Teena) of Bradenton, Florida; a daughter, Stacy Poynter of Nolensville, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Genirose Steenbergen and Eveline Brooks (Buddy) both of Leitchfield.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 4, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with Sue Anne’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Monday at Musters in Livermore.
