Sue Strong

     Sue Strong  87, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun.  Hettie Sue Rowan was born September 23, 1937 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late John Andrew and Bessie Ford Burden Rowan and was married to Hershel Eugene ‘Gene’ Strong on June 2, 1959.

     Sue was a homemaker and a member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed visiting with her sister and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Hershel E. ‘Gene’ Strong, who died February 11, 2005; by two brothers, Bill Atherton and Bob Reed and by a sister, Ora Lee Smith.

     Sue is survived by a daughter, Lisa Hocker (Gary) of Livermore; two granddaughters, Tabitha Culver (John) of Richmond, Kentucky and Carissa Bell (Gilbert) of Island; four great grandchildren, Kate Culver, Connor Culver, Jameson Bell, and Harper Bell; and a sister, Mary Ann Smith of Livermore.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 17, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.  Friends may visit with Sue’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday and from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.

     The family would like to express their appreciation for the personal care and attention given to their mother and grandmother by the entire staff at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center.
