Shanan (Baldwin) Spalding

Shanan Spalding 70, of Owensboro Kentucky went home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Shanan Lynn Baldwin was born January 6, 1956 to the late Leslie Wilson and Eleanor Elizabeth Drake Baldwin and was married to Herschel Leroy Spalding on May 29, 1999.  She retired as an Accountant for Credit Systems of St. Louis and later owned and operated an Avon Store in Owensboro.  Shanan was of the Baptist faith and obviously believed you can never  have too many shoes, jewelry, or make-up.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herschel on January 18, 2023 and a sister, Betty Haines.

          Shanan is survived by her daughter Tabitha Hooker (Bill Blair) of Owensboro; three grandchildren: Jonathan Hooker, Olivia Hooker, and Jillian Hooker; a sister, Frances Sue Ducan of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00  P.M. Friday, July 3, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be at the Island Community Cemetery in Island.  Friends may visit with Shanan’s family from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Friday at Musters in Livermore.
