Ryan Story 48, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026 in Jasper, Indiana. Ryan Neal Story was born August 17, 1977 in Evansville, Indiana to Carl E. and Cathy Ann Connor Story and was married to the former Jennifer Elaine Williams on August 10, 2002.
Ryan was a 1995 Graduate of McLean County High School and the eldest of the ‘Story Boys’. He was a driver for Averitt Express of Owensboro and a member of the Methodist faith. Ryan enjoyed guitars, the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and anything University of Kentucky. He always kept everyone entertained with his sharp but often silly wit, but most of all loved making memories with his grandson, Deluka. Ryan was loved by all who had the good fortune to enter his circle. He was always helping others, but rarely asking for help himself. Ryan’s loving, caring, and nurturing spirit was best displayed through opening his heart and home to Ja’Nyiah and Zane, who he raised as his own.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Darla Connor, Ethel Thorn Smith, and Pattie and Carl Story, Sr. and his father-in-law, Steven Williams.
Ryan is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jenny Story; a son, Zane Williams of Livermore; a daughter, Ja’Nyiah Wimberly of Owensboro; a grandson, Deluka Hayes Howell; his mother, Cathy Grundhoefer (Gary) of Owensboro; his father, Carl Story (Debbie) of Livermore; his mother-in-law, Sandy Williams of Livermore; and two brothers, Chris Story (Lynn) of Beaver Dam and Ben Story (Renae) of Owensboro; three brothers-in-law, Steve Williams (Tonya), Adam Williams (Melanie Stanishia), and Eric Williams (Courtney); a sister-in-law, Kelly Williams; several aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and his faithful beagle companion, Ruby.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 18, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Friends may visit with Ryan’s family from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Musters in Livermore.
