Roger Daugherty 73, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. Roger Dale Daugherty was born January 8, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Gene Free and Hilda Ray Gardner Dillinger. Roger retired as a heavy equipment operator, was a member of the Christian Faith and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with both his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a son, Todd Colburn.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sherry Daugherty; two daughters, Robin Hayden (John) of Livermore and Misty Camron (Ron) of Philpot; six grandchildren, Blake Frailley, Leslie Ann Bradley, Alex Hayden, Keegan Camron, Gage Camron, and Kinsey Camron; three brothers, Thomas Dillinger of Buttonsberry, Ricky Free of Island and Dalton Free of Livermore; and three sisters, Elizabeth Trimble of Buttonsberry, Jane Aldridge of Island and Candy Clark of Bremen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Revs. Kevin Smith and Roy Day officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Roger’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
