     Robert “Bob” Boyken  74, of Utica, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at his home in Utica.  Robert Dale Boyken was born September 4, 1945 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Melvin Henry and Helen Grace Frizzell Boyken and was married to the former Iris Delene Cox in June of 1987.  Bob retired from Boilermakers Local #40 of Elizabethtown, was a member of the Baptist Faith and a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the 9th Infantry.  He was a member of Livermore Lodge # 186 F. & A.M.  Bob never met a stranger.  He enjoyed racing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with both his family and friends.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Boyken, who died June 2, 2015.

     Survivors include a son, Robert Boyken, Jr. (Tamatha) of Winchester, Kentucky; a daughter, Christine Smith of Owensboro; two step daughters, Robin Atwell of Utica and D.J. Drury (Robert) of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Angela Drury, Tiffany Lanham, Heather Morris, Travis Johnson, Ashton Boyken, Patrick Boyken, Seth Boyken, and Tye Boyken; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin H. Boyken, Jr. of Livermore and William Murray Boyken of Owensboro; and two sisters, Junie Hicks of Livermore and Teresa Hudson of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

     In compliance with health and public safety directives public funeral services will be held at a later date.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Bob’s family.
