Reta Conrad Obituary

Reta M. Conrad 88, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at her home in Island. Reta Mae Davis was born May 25, 1932 in Buttonsberry, Kentucky to the late Ben and Stella Penrod Davis and was married to Frank Willard “Red” Conrad July 24, 1948. Reta retired from General Electric in Owensboro and was a member of the Island Heritage Council. She enjoyed quilting and collecting local historic pictures.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Red Conrad; two daughters, Theresa Freels (Pat) and Robbin Baughn both of Island; four grandchildren, Robbie Freels (Kateri), Kelly Key (Rob), Amy Rudd (Jason) and Katie Head (Matt); 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Davis (Margie) of Philpot and a sister, Shirley Sutherlin of Livermore.

There will be no public services. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Reta’s family.
