Reed A. Lee Obituary

 

 

 

     Reed A. Lee  80, of the Windy Hollow Community in Daviess County; formerly of Shepherdsville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Reed Allen Lee was born November 11, 1944 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky to the late Huber and Agnes Russell Lee and was married to the former Sheila Ann Hayden on August 17, 1985.

     Reed was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, retired as a recreational leader from the Kentucky State Reformatory in Lagrange, and was a member of Brushy Fork Baptist Church in Daviess County.  He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 6160 in English, Indiana.  Reed enjoyed both University of Kentucky Basketball and Football and loved caring for his dogs and his cat.

     Reed is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sheila Lee; a sister, Judy Shoulders (Jerry) of Shepherdsville; a niece, Jamie Howell (Greg); and a nephew, Jonathan Shoulders (Kim).

     Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2025 at Brushy Fork Cemetery in Daviess County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415.  There will be no public visitation.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Reed’s family.
