Ray Wilkerson

     Ray Wilkerson  80, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun.  Alton Ray Wilkerson was born November 23, 1944 in Island, Kentucky to the late Howard S. and Nellie Mae Poole Wilkerson and was married to the former Sharon Kay Smith on September 5, 1964.

     Ray was a retired carpenter.  He was also a volunteer for the McLean County Senior Citizens and also at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center.  He loved singing, playing his guitar, spending time, and sharing stories with both his family and friends.

     In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Wilkerson; and by three sisters, Etta Mae Hodgin, Shelia Free, and Anna Lou Strole.

     Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay Wilkerson; a son, Chris Wilkerson (Tammy) of Bowling Green; two daughters, Serena Gehlhausen (Kurt) of Newburgh and Janet Clark (Tony) of Calhoun; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronnie Wilkerson (Mary) of Island; and two sisters, Darnell Townsley (Louis) of Monon, Indiana and Debra Jenkins (Rick Rehrman) of Evansville.

     Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Monday, March 3, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Ray’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. Monday at Musters in Livermore.
