Ray Knight 80, of Utica, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation. Charles Ray Knight, Sr. was born September 16, 1940 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Daisy Mae Towery Knight and was married to the former Wanda Mae Parker December 4, 1978. Ray was a retired logger. He enjoyed dirt track racing, horse riding, fishing, and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Wanda Knight, who died April 14, 2012.
Survivors include a son, Charles Ray Knight, Jr. (Lorie) of Calhoun; a daughter, Amanda Knight of Utica; four grandchildren, Madison Knight, Brycen Peters, Nicholas Knight and Logan Knight; and a brother, William Knight of Fordsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Ray’s family from 11:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun. In compliance with health and public safety directives, capacity for Ray’s visitation and funeral service will be limited in accordance with state guidelines. Due to the Governor’s mandate, masks or facial coverings are required during all services.
