Pamela 'Pam' Morris Obituary

Pamela “Pam” Morris  80, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Alive Hospice Nashville.  Pamela Lovejoy Miller was born October 23, 1943 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Fletcher E. and Sarah Wigginton Miller and was better known as ‘Pam’ to both her family and friends.

A native of Livermore in McLean County, Pam lived in Nashville for over 60 years.  She was an LPN (Nurse) who retired from the State of Tennessee after many years of caring for wards of the state.  Pam was caring and kind especially to those with special needs.

She was active member of the Lord’s Chapel, now Citipointe Church, in Nashville and her faith in God was very strong.  Pam is now with her savior, her parents, her beloved sister, and a brother in heaven, free of pain and happy.

Pam was an avid reader, and she enjoyed journaling, especially writing about her faith, experiences and philosophy.  She was a great friend to many and enjoyed spending time with her friends, dining, visiting and worshipping.  She will be missed by so many whose heart she touched.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia “Pie” Humphrey and a brother, Joseph "Junior" Sartorio.

Pam is survived by a son, Robert R. Morris of Nashville; a daughter, Teresa “Terree” Morris Shields (Les) of Wellington, Florida; a granddaughter, Brandy Morris Cantrell (Deshaun) of Nashville; a grandson, Alexander C. Shields (Kristin) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; a great grandson (the apple of her eye), Cameron Cooper Shields of Port St. Lucie; a sister, Peni Nelson (Rondall “Tookie”) of Livermore; a brother, F.E. “Rick” Miller (Grace) of Island; a brother-in-law, Chester Humphrey of Island; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County.  There will be no public visitation.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Pam’s family.
