Noah ‘Smokey’ Bishop 83, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home in Calhoun. Noah Alex Bishop was born August 22, 1937 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky to the late Levi Dempsey and Rosa Proffitt Bishop, was married to the former Patricia Fay Martin November 3, 1956 and was better known as ‘Smokey’ to both his family and friends. Noah was the owner and operator of an auto salvage company. He enjoyed race car driving and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Noah was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Bishop, who died September 29, 2007 and by three daughters, Jenoah Crowder, Melissa Rose and Diona Thurman.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Scott (Michael) of Pekin, Indiana and Crystal Hill of Calhoun; a son, Keith Martin (Kemberly) of Winchester, Indiana; a granddaughter, that he raised as his own daughter, Angela Price of Calhoun; 17 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Family services will be held at a later date. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Noah’s family.
