Mike Monroe

     Mike Monroe  68, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Michael William Monroe was born July 7, 1958 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late William Lee and Catherine Fassnacht Monroe, was married to the former Martha Lorene Frazier on November 7, 1997, and was better known as ‘Mike’ to both his family and friends.

     Mike retired as a maintenance manager from McDonalds in Beaver Dam, was a member of Community Church in Calhoun, and attended Livermore United Methodist Church.

     Mike was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats Fan and also enjoyed camping.

     In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a step son, Jeremy Russell and by a grandson, Abram Monroe.

     Mike is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lorene Monroe; a son, Aaron Monroe (Brittany) of Dundee; a daughter, Sarah Monroe of Owensboro; a step daughter, Deana Woosley (Tommy) of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Addison Quisenberry, Andrew Quisenberry, Brittany Sutherlin (Eric), and Tyler Gardner; two great-grandchildren, Maverick Sutherlin and Mason Sutherlin; a brother, Robbie Monroe of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Connie Jordan (Bill) and Shelley Hunt (Tim) both of Hartford; a close family friend, Verna Halcomb of Beaver Dam.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 17, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.  Friends may visit with Mike’s family from 11:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
