Obituary
Michael Bastin 41, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his home in Island. William Michael Bastin was born February 19, 1982 in Greenville, Kentucky to William Anthony and Nina Sue Willis Bastin. Michael was a fulltime caregiver to his son, Deacon and enjoyed spending time with both his family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Nina Bastin and by a grandfather, Clark Bastin.
Survivors include his fiancée, Donna Oakley; two daughters, Destiny Thomas (Collin) of Rocklin, California and Alexia Bastin of Owensboro; a son, Deacon Bastin of Island; three step daughters, Haley Thompson, Rachel Thompson, and Riley Thompson all of Island; a step son, Logan Oakley (Jessica) of Minneapolis; his father, Bill Bastin of Livermore; a grandmother, Anita Brock of Chicago; several aunts, uncles and many friends.
Family services will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Michael’s family.
