Mary F. Jewell

     Mary F. Jewell  86, of the Semiway Community in McLean County went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her home.  Mary Frances Schwartz was born December 17, 1934 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Louis and Mary Agnes Yeckering Schwartz and was married to Frances Waverly “Buck” Jewell August 26, 1978.  Mary was a homemaker and member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Calhoun.  She enjoyed caring for her flowers, crocheting and University of Kentucky Basketball.  In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Waverly “Buck” Jewell, who died April 1, 2008.

     Survivors include three sons, Louis Dant of Semiway, Paul Dant (Martha) of Owensboro and Phillip Dant of Semiway; a daughter, Mary Lou Underwood (Glenn) of Sacramento; two step daughters, Wanda Arnold of Poplar Grove and Pat Taylor of Livermore; three grandchildren, Meredith Dant, Haley O’Bryan (Logan) and Hunter Underwood; and 7 step grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Elba.  Friends may visit with Mary’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
