Mark D. Baker

     Mark D. Baker  48, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Mark DeWayne Baker was born March 12, 1973 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late Hobert Ray and Velma Combs Baker and was married to the former Rebecca Jo Strole October 14, 2006.  Mark was a security guard and earlier worked as a bailiff for Christian County Court System.  He enjoyed traveling, spending time with both his family and friends, and playing with is little buddy, his dog, Max.  In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray Baker.

     Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Becky Baker; two brothers, James Allen Baker of Hopkinsville and Clifton Glynn Baker (Angela) of Charlottesville, Virginia; and a nephew, David Baker of Stoughton, Wisconsin.

     Family services will be held at a later date.  There will be no public visitation.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Mark’s family.
