Lois Conrad Obituary

 

 

     Lois Conrad  89, of Beech Grove, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Lois Earl Jennings was born May 2, 1932 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Herbert Earl and Edna Marie Evans Jennings and was married to Thomas Alex “Bully” Conrad December 24, 1949.  Lois retired as a cook from Calhoun Elementary School and was a member of Beulah General Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Sunshine Ladies.  The most important thing to Lois was loving both God and her family.  She had a giving heart, loved singing to the Lord and encouraged others to sing with her.  She spent her days working on projects with her husband, Bully.  Lois invested a lifetime as an unpublished author of poetry, short stories and journals.  In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Bully Conrad, who died July 15, 2016; by a daughter, Tina Denise Conrad; by a granddaughter, Tina Marie Woosley; and by a grandson, Ronald Huckleberry, Jr.

     Survivors include two sons, Tommy Conrad (Beth) and Brett Conrad (Crystal) both of Beech Grove; three daughters, Nona Cobb (Cammie) of Calhoun, Melinda Huckleberry (Ronald) of Island and Darlene Woosley (Mike) of Calhoun; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; a brother, Ray Jennings (Diane) of Calhoun; four sisters, Carolyn Guy of Owensboro, Linda Pruner (Jim) of Bristol, Virginia, Dorothy Maxwell (John) of Calhoun and Kim Moore (Roy) of Hazard; a sister-in-law, Beverly Jennings of Aurora, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

     Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Revs. Ron Hampton and Eric Hill officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Lois’ family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.

     Lois’ services will be streamed live on www.musterfuneralhomes.com at 3:00 P.M. Saturday.
