Linda Burden Lattin 77, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Linda Jean Burden was born June 11, 1948 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Truman and Cora Bohanan Burden.
Linda retired as manager of Owensboro Monument Company and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Owensboro. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, crafts, and of course shopping. Linda also loved being able to take road trips with her mother to visit her homeplace in Tennessee and being a part of all family gatherings.
To her family and friends, Linda was a steady presence – gentle, joyful, and genuine. She believed deeply in kindness, led with love, and filled every room she entered with comfort and light. Those who were blessed to know her will continue to carry her spirit in the way they treat others, the way they cherish their families, and the way they find beauty in the simple, everyday moments she treasured so deeply.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son, Richard T. Glasscock and her brother, Tipton Russell ‘Sonny’ Burden.
Linda is survived by her fiancée, Rick McCormick of Sacramento; a brother, Truman Dean Burden (Melinda) of Hartford; and five sisters, Brenda Sims of Hartford, Gail Helm (Bob) of Fordsville, Peggy Lynn (Dale) of Hartford, Gay Burden of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Joy Burden of Owensboro.
