Lesley Hollimon Obituary

Lesley Hollimon  46, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 in Hopkinsville.  Lesley Hayes Leachman was born April 26, 1978 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Tony Davis and Elizabeth Louise Corrick Leachman and was married to R. Douglas Hollimon on October 1, 2012.  Lesley's warmth and vivacious spirit were evident from a young age.

A 1996 graduate of McLean County High School in Calhoun, Lesley's commitment to her community shone brightly as she embarked on a career that placed her at the heart of public service.  She trained at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond and dedicated nearly 16 years of her life as a 911 dispatcher for Owensboro, Christian County, and McLean County, where she became a trusted and reassuring voice in times of crisis.  At the time of her passing, Lesley was the head parts manager at H & R Agri-Power in Hopkinsville, where her expertise and leadership were greatly valued.

Lesley's interests and hobbies reflected her zest for life and her commitment to others.  As a Lady Saint of Hopkinsville, she was continually active in community and charity events, making a positive impact on those around her.  Her passion for Jeeping led her to become a member of both the Hopkinsville and Clarksville Jeep Clubs, where she shared her enthusiasm for adventure with fellow Jeep enthusiasts.

Above all, Lesley was known for her boundless love for animals.  She was a caregiver, a rescuer, and a mother to many animals throughout her life, embodying the true spirit of compassion.  Her friendly demeanor was a beacon of light, and anyone who knew Lesley understood that her passion for life was matched only by her passion for the well-being of all living creatures.

Lesley's legacy is one of love, service, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.  Her infectious laughter and the joy she brought to every room will be deeply missed but never forgotten.  Lesley's life was a journey of purpose and passion, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lesley was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Leachman and by a brother, Bryan Wade Leachman.

Lesley's life was a testament to love and service, not only to her community but to her cherished family.  She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Doug Hollimon, together, they rode motorcycles, exploring new horizons and making memories that will be treasured forever.  Lesley is also survived by a son, Camden Davis Hollimon; two step children, Paige Alexandria Hollimon of Hopkinsville and Kyan Douglas Hollimon of Murray; a step grandson, Ashton Hayze Dossett; her father, Tony Leachman of Calhoun; her brother, Michael Leachman (Trish) of Calhoun; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
