Larry A. Schindler

     Larry A. Schindler  74, of Sacramento, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun.  Larry Allen Schindler was born June 3, 1946 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Joe Ed and Viola Jones Schindler and was married to the former Ruth Ann Conrad August 31, 1973.  Larry was a retired coal miner and member of Community Church in Calhoun.  He enjoyed mule and pony pulls, rabbit and squirrel hunting, fishing, and gardening.  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Schindler and a sister, Alma Jean Brooks.

     Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ruth Ann Schindler; a daughter, Sarah Kessinger (Bradly) of Sacramento; two sons, Jason Schindler of Sacramento and Kevin Schindler (Krystal) of Island; eight grandchildren, Alexis Schindler, Ryen Kessinger, Tannor Schindler, Alyssa Schindler, Noah Schindler, Reid Kessinger, Lincoln Schindler, and Rese Ann Kessinger; and two sisters, Maggie Jones of Streamwood, Illinois and Virginia Conrad of Rumsey.

     Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Mason officiating.  Friends may visit with Larry’s family from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.  In compliance with health and public safety directives, capacity for both Larry’s visitation and funeral service will be limited in accordance with state guidelines.  Due to the Governor’s mandate, masks or facial coverings are required during all services.
