Lance Howard 51, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home. Lance Lee Howard was born November 21, 1966 in Calhoun, Kentucky to Norman Fay and Lue Belle Troutman Howard. Lance was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He had a passion for history, was an antique memorabilia collector, a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, Forrest Orphans Camp 1744, a member of Sons of the American Revolution, and enjoyed visiting with and helping others in his community. Lance was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Allen Howard.
Survivors include his parents, Norman and Lue Belle Howard of Calhoun; four nieces, Teresa Walla of Indianapolis, Amy Hardin of Chesterfield, Indiana, Kathy Nethaway of Milford, Indiana and Kim Likens of North Webster, Indiana; several great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church with the Rev. Tracy Burnett officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Lance’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Friday at Musters in Calhoun.
