Kenneth ‘Heavy’ Anderson 80, of the Pack Community in McLean County, Kentucky passed away Saturday May, 31 2025 at his home. Kenneth Wayne Anderson was born July 30, 1944 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late William Stanley and Elva Lorise Knight Anderson, was married to the former Sharon Faye West on December 2, 1967, and was lovingly known as ‘Heavy’ to both his family and friends.
Heavy was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. He retired as a coal miner from Peabody-Ken Mines and formerly worked at both Inland Marine and Evansville Marine towboat companies.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sharon Anderson; a son Chris Anderson (Debra) of Rumsey; three grandchildren, Katlyn Stallings (Mark) of Beech Grove, Carissa Anderson of Owensboro, Kennah Anderson (Jason Smith) of Owensboro; twelve great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Molli, Brantley, Dotti, Jojo, Alana, Brenlea, Hunter, Summer, Jason, Lanee, and Kason; a brother, Wink Anderson (Katherine) of Owensboro; and a sister, Linda Dotson (Mitch) of Livermore.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Heavy’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
