Kathleen Couch Ward

Kathleen Couch Ward  84, of Beech Grove, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Owensboro.  Kathleen Couch, the youngest of eleven children was born December 20, 1933 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the late Henry and Martha Bell Bowling Couch and was married to Herman Beecher “Jeep” Ward January 16, 1954 in Shawneetown, Illinois.  Kathleen formerly worked at General Electric in Owensboro, was co-owner of Ward Implement Company in Beech Grove and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  She was the heart of her family and an inspiration to them all.  In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters and a great grandson, Lane Goodwin.

          Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Herman “Jeep” Ward; two daughters and their husbands, Rhonda and Ricky Gish of Beech Grove and Joy and Barry Sharp of Owensboro; a son and his wife, Tim and Nancy Ward of Owensboro; 7 grandchildren; 5 step grandsons, 8 great grandchildren; and 3 step great grandsons.

          Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Jim Midkiff officiating.  Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Kathleen’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
