June Barnett

     June Barnett  91, of Utica, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Signature Healthcare of Hartford.  Shirley June Price was born June 6, 1934 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Gilbert Ellis and Carrie Atherton Price and was married to Raymond Simpson ‘Barney’ Barnett on July 12, 1952.

          June was a homemaker, earlier worked at General Electric in Owensboro, and a member of Woodwards Valley Baptist Church in Ohio County.  She enjoyed gardening, painting, writing poetry, and quilting.  June especially loved her church and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

          In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Raymond ‘Barney’ Barnett, who died June 9, 2006; by a son, Gilbert ‘Gippy’ Barnett; and by two sisters, Linda Lanham and Norma Owen.

          June is survived by a son, Lyndal Barnett (Lisa) of Owensboro; three daughters, Debby Hobgood (Darrol), Tammy Burns, and Rachel Ellis (Kevin) all of Owensboro; a daughter-in-law, Donna Barnett of Owensboro; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ray Price (Shirley) of Livermore and Charles Price (Brenda) of Rockport, Indiana.     

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 2, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Woodwards Valley Cemetery in Ohio County.  Friends may visit with June’s family from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Musters in Livermore.
