Judy Ashton Frizzell

     Judy Ashton Frizzell  84, of Calhoun, Kentucky went to meet Jesus ‘face to face’ surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.  Judy Carol Ashton was born July 22, 1941 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Woodson Edward and Ora Mae Case Ashton and was married to Billy Ray Frizzell on February 8, 1958.

     Judy was a homemaker, a member of the Pentecostal faith, and an ordained minister.  She loved to share Jesus with everyone she met and was well known for her contagious smile.  Judy’s greatest joy was being able to spend time with both her family and friends.

     In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Billy Frizzell, who died April 21, 2014.

     Judy is survived by a son, Randy Frizzell (Patricia) of Yelvington; a daughter, Yvonne Butterworth (Neil) of Madisonville; a bonus daughter, Pat Neal Nifong of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Travis Hanberry (Becca), Austin Frizzell (Madison), and Alec Frizzell; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Wathen (Tyler) and Leah Bowlds; and two great-great-grandchildren.

     A celebration of Judy’s Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Community Church in Calhoun.  Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Judy’s family from 12:00 P.M. (noon) until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the church.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Judy’s family.
