Joyce Spain Walker

     Joyce Spain Walker  84, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Joyce Ray Holder was born April 23, 1938 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late James Buchanan and Grace Ilene Brown Holder and was married to Wayne Louis Spain, until his death November 3, 1991 and was later married to James Henry Walker until his death December 9, 2004.  Joyce retired from the TJ Max Distribution Center in Evansville and was a member of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and two husbands, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Spain and by three sisters, Wanda Gray, Faye Free and Myrl Lawrence.

     Survivors include three daughters, Donna Foster (Perry) of Owensboro, Elaine Hurdt (David) of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Lisa Carpenter of Owensboro; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty Gross of Livermore, Lois Goforth and Nancy Mansfield both of Owensboro.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.  Friends may visit with Joyce’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Livermore.
