Jon Paul McCoy 47, of Bremen, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Jon Paul McCoy was born April 6, 1973 in Madisonville, Kentucky to Justin Wayne and Deanna Ruth Bell McCoy. Jon Paul served as a diesel mechanic in the U.S. Army National Guard, later worked for Halcomb Diesel and Chappel Diesel and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Jon Paul was preceded in death by his father, Wayne McCoy and by a nephew, Dalton McCoy.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Deanna and Larry Bryan of Bremen; two brothers, Tim McCoy (Michelle) of Bremen and Bradley J. McCoy (Robin) of Gilbertsville; his grandmother, Leora Bell of Pack; two nephews, Tyler McCoy (Bethany) and Jay McCoy; two nieces, Autumn McCoy and Scout McCoy; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Revs. Joey Todd and Marc Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Jon Paul’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun. In compliance with health and public safety directives, capacity for Jon Paul’s visitation and funeral service will be limited to 50% building capacity in accordance with state guidelines. Due to the Governor’s mandate, masks or facial coverings are required during all services.
