John Greenwell

     John Greenwell  63, of Calhoun, Kentucky passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  William Eugene Greenwell was born March 24, 1962 in Owensboro, Kentucky to William Harold and Judy Lane Penrod Greenwell, was married to the former Donna Carol Trivett on December 20, 1985, and was better known as ‘John’ to both his family and friends.

     John was a truck driver for Tyson Foods, a member of Calhoun Christian Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, remote control cars, playing games, and loved spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

     John was preceded in death by his father, Bill Greenwell and by his brother, Michael Hayden.

     John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Greenwell; a daughter, Heather Rose Kessinger of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Trinity Rose Kessinger, Devyn Rose Kessinger, and Chase William Colburn; and his mother, Judy Penrod (Jimmy Stevens) of Calhoun.

     Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415.  Friends may visit with John’s family from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Musters in Calhoun.
